Mind Soul and Strength is the marriage of all things empowering. Founder DaLissa Alzner has a diverse professional and personal history in the areas of psychotherapy, fitness and mentorship, and wholeheartedly believes that the realization of optimal ‘health’ is rooted in achieving a keen understanding and alignment of mental health, inner peace or spirituality and physical strength. The absence of one, results in a deficit in another area of your life, contributing to an inability to achieve long term fulfilment!

About me
DaLissa Alzner is a passionate advocate for integrative health and psychological well-being, dedicated to advancing innovative, evidence-informed approaches to care. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Adler University, teaching in the Master of Psychology: Health and Wellness program, where she supports graduate students in bridging theory, research, and applied practice.
DaLissa is also a PhD Candidate in the Interdisciplinary Social Research Program at Trent University. Her doctoral research examines the use of exercise as a unified intervention for the treatment of depression and obesity—challenging the historic siloed approach that separates mental and physical health care. Through her proposed psychokinetic approach to health, she seeks to reconceptualize treatment models by integrating movement, psychology, and behavioral science in ways that may influence clinical practice industry-wide.
Her academic background reflects this interdisciplinary commitment. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto, an Honours Bachelor of Health Science in Kinesiology from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Collectively, her training provides a comprehensive foundation in human behaviour, physiological science, and therapeutic intervention.
As the founder of Mind Soul and Strength Psychotherapy and Physical Wellness, DaLissa integrates psychological and physical wellness within a relationship-centred, evidence-based framework. She draws on emerging research while cultivating safe, collaborative spaces where clients can explore challenges and pursue meaningful change. Her work reflects a deep commitment to holistic, integrative care—supporting individuals in achieving sustainable wellness from the inside out
